Operation Spooky Action

Mission 4: Entanglement. Part of the Quantum Courier Service, a free course from the Oxford University Quantum Information Society.

Right then, recruit, pay attention. The Echo Network has deployed a rather arrogant Predictive AI that fancies it can out-calculate our operations using standard classical logic. To thoroughly scramble its logic core, we are going to feed it a dose of true quantum randomness drawn from two entangled "Voodoo Coins", one here in Oxford and the other stationed on Mars, currently sitting in a blurry superposition with no definite value at all. Hit [Measure Alice] to snap your coin into a real 0 or 1, and watch the Mars coin land on the very same face the same instant, however many miles apart they are. Because that outcome genuinely does not exist until you press the button, the AI has nothing to predict in advance and its algorithms fail catastrophically. Then fire off a batch of pairs and read the tally: only matching results, 00 or 11, ever come up, perfectly correlated yet genuinely random. Einstein called this spooky, and the spooky part is real; where he slipped was assuming the answer was hidden inside the coins all along. Chop chop!
