Why the Copier Fails

Why did their multimillion-dollar spy machine spectacularly blow up in our simulation? Because the universe is governed by strict mathematical linearity.
The Stupid Machine: The Echo Network's copier is actually incredibly stupid. It only knows two rigid, linear rules: copy a 0 to a double 00, and copy a 1 to a double 11.
The Superposition Crash: When faced with a superposition (our beautifully balanced qubit, poised on the equator), the machine panics. It doesn't magically step back and copy the whole state. It mindlessly applies its classical rule to both parts of the superposition simultaneously.
The Fatal Flaw: Instead of outputting two totally independent copies, the machine produces a mutated superposition of only 00 and 11.
Accidental Entanglement: This means the two coins are now mathematically handcuffed together across the fabric of spacetime! The Echo Network didn't build a photocopier; they accidentally built an Entanglement Generator!
Note the copier isn't useless. It's bounded. Run the bench and you'll find the best possible forgery scores 5/6 on fidelity, and not a whisker more, whatever state you feed it. Nature doesn't ban copying. She caps it, at 83.3%, and the flatness of that ceiling across the whole sphere is the proof.
