Operation Born Supremacy
The Born rule: turning amplitudes into probabilities
Mission 1: Enter the Quantum World. Part of the Quantum Courier Service, a free course from the Oxford University Quantum Information Society.
Right then, look sharp. We’ve managed to intercept a stubborn Echo Network hard drive, but its encryption is sealed tight behind a Quantum Probability Lock. A single measurement tells us absolutely nothing, as the universe loves to procrastinate its definitive physical choices until the exact microsecond we corner it. To shatter this cryptographic stalemate, you must act as a bit of a cosmic bully: hit measure, then pile on the measurements with +5k to force a mountain of quantum readings. By accumulating this statistical data, you’ll map out the hidden probability distribution of $\vert{}0\rangle$s and $\vert{}1\rangle$s, exposing the passcode before the system deadlocks. Keep at it, old sport, let’s see if your statistics can outpace the fundamental laws of nature.
